Test Equipment
Meiden Technical Center utilizes the best technology from the leaders in the industry to complete tests in a reliable and repeatable manner.
Meiden Technical Center Data Acquisition & Control is accomplished via MEIDACS-DY. Analog input & output A/D boards are 16 bit. Digital I/O, pulse input, a LAN interface for Horiba emission bench data recording, and CAN measurement boards are also available for use.
Selected measurement items and calculations are tabulated in csv format. A maximum measurement period of 1 ms is available for High speed measurement, and averaged data can be sampled at a period as fast as 0.1 seconds.
Particulate mass emissions are sampled on a 47mm paper filter using a partial flow dilution method via a Horiba MDLT-1302T. The MDLT-1302T uses a high precision venturi flow meter along with dilution air flow control controlled by a fast response piezo-activated valve. These features allow the system to be used for transient type engine testing requirements. Particulate Mass emissions can also be sampled in a steady state testing mode. Fuel measurements are made by a Re-Sol RS438, while air flow measurements are made by Meriam LFE equipment.
Meiden Dynamometers are used in all MTC test cells to provide the highest level of accuracy and performance. Each dynamometer has unique capabilities which enhance the value of the testing environment.
